The new eBay Stores design was influenced greatly by the concept presented in this SecondLife project. Besides the Second Life Halloween costume shop, Annie’s Costumes also built a virtual haunted house which features blood stained walls and a maze of catacombs underneath the house for Second Lifers to explore and get a thrill. As a sponsor for Halloween Hall of Fame, Annie’s Costumes built a virtual museum to honor the members who have made Halloween a popular holiday. Simply set up your inventory within Excel with the following titles in your spreadsheet, not all of these fields must be populated but the more fields populated within your inventory spreadsheet, the better for your eBay listings.

Controlling your inventory data within your own database in Excel and then uploading that inventory, or a portion of your inventory to eBay through AuctionLogic is a very easy and useful way to populate an eBay account.  From AuctionLogic the inventory can then be sent to Auctions, Fixed Price and Stores channels within eBay.

When a sale is made within any of those three options, the inventory is then adjusted to show remaining items.  Rules can be defined to automatically re-list sold items and unsold items.  Restrictions can also be defined regarding time of re-listing and number of re-lists to limit the merchants exposure to spending eBay fees on non-performing titles or descriptions.
